Self-Care for Sustainable Activism
Saturday, July 16
10 am to 12 pm
Please join us for this 2 hour workshop focused on self-care for activists, organizers, healthcare providers, educators, and any and all helpers.
We have a long fight ahead; our reproductive rights are being stripped away, all while we continue to face climate change, racism, homophobia, late-stage capitalism, ablism, income inequality, housing crises and so much more.
This workshop is an opportunity for radical self-care, rest and nurturing of Self to create sustainability. As activists and helpers, we are at high-risk of burnout. Learn about how to create a self-care practice which can support you. A trauma-sensitive, nervous-system informed yoga practice and guided meditation for deep rest will be offered.
This workshop is for all levels, bodies, ages, genders and abilities.
Melissa Grisi, LCSW, CAADC, TCTSY-F, RYT 500 is a clinical social worker and trauma-sensitive yoga teacher in private practice in Joshua Tree.
